Mothers & Others for Clean Air is pleased to announce our new partnership with The Asthma Alliance of North Carolina (AANC). The AANC is a team of local and state government agencies, academic institutions, local asthma coalitions, non-profits and private industry working collectively to address asthma. The Alliance serves as an “umbrella” group to ensure coordination and collaboration among the many asthma-related organizations in North Carolina. Its mission is to reduce asthma morbidity and mortality for all people in North Carolina through a comprehensive public health approach.
AANC co-chair and UNC Public Health epidemiology professor Karin Yeatts (pictured above) comments on this new relationship: “We are delighted to build a partnership between the AANC and Mothers & Others for Clean Air. We have an important goal of improving air quality for children with asthma.”
