News: M&O is proud to announce two new Partnership Council members

It’s official!  Dr. George Luber, Associate Director for Climate Change in the Division of Environmental Hazards and Health Effects at the National Center for Environmental Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has joined M&O’s Partnership Council. Dr. Luber is a Co-Chair of the Climate Change and Human Health Interagency Workgroup at the US Global Change Research Program, and a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Fifth Assessment Report. Dr. Luber was recently quoted in an M&O story that was published in the AJC.

We are also pleased that Dr. Yasmin Tyler-Hill, Chairperson, Department of Pediatrics, Morehouse School of Medicine and Medical Director of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding has joined our Council. Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics has been an important partner of  ours over the years, helping us focus on children’s health and air quality. Recently, M&O staff was invited to provide a 3-hour advocacy training to their  3rd-year pediatric residents.
