Event: Clean Air Advocacy Training for Medical and Public Health Professionals

What: Clean Air Advocacy Training for Medical and Public Health Professionals. As one of only a handful of public health organizations working on air quality issues and children’s health in Georgia, M&O is offering a 3-hour training to medical experts connecting air quality and children’s health. M&O’s training covers air quality, climate change and children’s health; and skill-building in lobbying, media outreach, and testifying.

When: February 13, 2015, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Where: ALA in Georgia office

Why: Climate change and air quality issues are the most critical health challenge of our time. This year and next will be a critical period for education and awareness of ozone and carbon pollution health impacts and ways to protect public health through the use of renewables and energy-efficiency. Medical and public health professionals are credible sources for information because of their high-level of trust with the public. With our training, we can help prepare you to be our most persuasive advocates. Please join us.

RSVPs are required. Please RSVP here by February 11, 2015.
