Action Alert: Urge Lawmakers in Georgia to harness our local sunshine

Rep. Mike Dudgeon from Johns Creek introduced HB 874, The Solar Free-Market Financing and Property Rights Act of 2014. This bill provides for private solar purchasing or leasing so Georgians can have more solar energy options available

HB 874 is a win-win for Georgians. This bill is a step towards increasing clean renewable energy choices and away from harmful air pollution from coal-fired power plants. Children are more vulnerable to the health effects of air pollution because their lungs are still developing, and they often spend more time outdoors compared to adults. Air pollution from power plants triggers asthma attacks, worsens lung and heart health and can even lead to early death.
